Bethany beats the boys!
Success continues to follow Year 7 student Bethany Ellis, taking the Preston Table Tennis League 2019 – Division 2 Singles Champion title last Tuesday.
At only 11 years old, the Morecambe Bay Academy schoolgirl won the annual competition. Bethany played an all male line up, with 20 competitors participating, many possessing years more experience.
Bethany plays locally for Trimpell Dragons who are currently leading the table in the Championship division of the Morecambe & Lancaster League. She also represents Lancashire in both the U18 & U15 County Teams along side her brother.
Currently ranked #2 in England in girls U12’s and #5 in U13’s, she continues to surprise and delight with her ever improving game and dedication to the sport.
