Year 7
Hello, I am Miss Finan, and I am Head of Year 7
I joined the academy in September along with our Year 7 pupils so we were very much ‘in the same boat’ and settling into our new environment together. The academic year is going so quickly. It’s certainly been a busy time with plenty going on, both on a regular basis and with special one off events.
It’s been great to see lots of pupils joining in with the extracurricular clubs at school. There’s no excuse not to as there truly is something for everyone
Celebration Assembly
In January we had our first celebration assembly where we celebrated the achievements of our Year 7 pupils and they were awarded certificates at a ceremony. It was fantastic to see such a great turn out parents and carers watched and enjoyed tea and biscuits as pupils were given awards for various subjects.
In March, a number of pupils enjoyed lunch with the Principal for their outstanding effort grades in all subject areas the last Endeavour cycle. Some fantastic ideas and thoughts were shared as they enjoyed pizza and chips and a selection of cakes.
Year 7 pupils have also made a number of achievements outside of the academy as well which they’d like to share. We have a pupil who has been awarded the Junior Female Sports Performance/Achievement of the year award at the prestigious annual GLL Preston Sports Awards for her outstanding achievements in Table Tennis. Another budding sports star has recently beat the North West champion at Boxing at Red Rose.
We love to hear about the achievements of the pupils so please let me know if your child has achieved something amazing.
