If you need urgent support in a crisis you can contact the following for help:

  1. YoungMinds Crisis Messenger: text YM  to 85258  Texts are free to send and are answered by trained volunteers.
  2. Childline: call free on 0800 1111. The quickest way to get through (it also won’t show on a phone bill).

  1. Local NHS urgent mental health helpline: for people of all ages. You can call for 24 hour support for you, a parent or someone you care for.

You will be asked to input your age and location (Morecambe) to ensure you receive the correct support.

  1. Local CAMHS Crisis Team: call 0800 953 0110 – available 24/7 and staffed by trained mental health professionals.
  2. Local Wellbeing Helpline and Texting Service – text Hello to 07860 022846 – available Monday-Friday, 7pm-11pm and Saturday to Sunday 12pm-Midnight. Staffed by volunteers that offer emotional support.

If you are worried about a child or young person you can contact the following services for help:

  1. Young Minds Parents Helpline: call free on 0808 802 5544 – available from 9:30am-4pm, Monday to Friday. For detailed advice, emotional support and signposting about a child or young person up to age 25.
  2. Local CAMHS Crisis Team: call 0800 953 0110 – available 24/7 and staffed by trained mental health professionals.
